what not to wear

i can't sleep. not tired. i am watching the boob tube. i have decided i really really really want to be on tlc's what not to wear. i would gladly throw away all of my clothes for 5 grand in brand new ones. i would love a stylist to show me what works for me and what does not. i admit that my style of dress is lacking in a major way. i admit i need a little help figuring it out. i admit i need a makeover. clothing, hair and makeup. why are these gals always crying. i would be smiling ear to ear. you can nominate me if you want. i will let you

Polished

I went and had a pedi/mani last week while Chloe was at a birthday party. I have officially decided that I have missed having my nails polished over the last two years. You know, just been too busy to worry about being high maintenance. I re-polished them tonight and they look fabulous. They grew a little this week (because I didn't clip them). Plus the Beauties think it is really neat that Momma's nails are pretty. They like to tell me, "pretty Momma." I think they are pretty too. Just makes me feel a bit more put together. Love it. Just thought I'd share.

Bang

"Are you working today?"
"Yup."
"Do you have any plans after work?"
"Not really. What's up?"
"I was wondering if you would be interested in coming over and going to the grocery store with me?"
"Of course!"
What a sweet gal and a true Friend to come over to my house. Accompany me and the Beauties to the grocery store, and then push the Beauties around in the stroller, entertaining them while I shop. Seriously...I love you Ciara! You are a life savor! Thanks a million honey!
Hope you are enjoying a bowl of that yummy cereal and your delicious smelling laundry.

Crabbie Pattys

Since I am not a yeller...I will write. Maybe cry a little while I type.
Today has been kind of...well...awful.
The four Little Beauties woke with a bad case of the crabbies. Seriously. They basically have been crying and fighting with me and with each other since seven this morning. I even busted out the Play-doh. They love it...usually. This day however, they sat at the table and cried huge crocodile tears and threw the doh, cookie cutters and everything else to the floor. I gave up and put the Play-doh stuff away. I've tried rocking and singing and dancing and dress up. I've tried reading and cartoons and licorice. Everything they usually laugh and giggle about. Nothing is working. I just dropped Chloe off at preschool and I think the triplets finally cried themselves to sleep. Calgon take me away...far far far far away. Please let them wake from a long peaceful slumber in happier moods. Please.

Ghetto

Matt and I purchased our home in 2001. It was my grandparents home. They built a new house. We were engaged and decided to buy a house, rather than continuing to pay rent in an apartment. It's a nice house. A three bedroom split foyer. When we purchased it, the neighborhood was nice. There was some riff-raff, but you have that anywhere. We started having some issues in the neighborhood with some of the local juveniles. However, we didn't think much of it at the time. Kids will be kids. Over the last eight years, the neighborhood has went...well...downhill. Our neighbors are great, the ones that live to one side and across the street. However, there are a lot of not so great peeps moving into the areas. There is litter everywhere, because most of the people could care less. It just looks ghetto. We recently had some new neighbors move into the house behind us. Their backyard butts up to ours. This weekend we witnessed the kind of people they are...They are training pitbulls to attack in the backyard. Swinging them around by ropes, clenched in their mouths. Beating them to get them angry, and then letting them attack each other. They have three younger looking dogs, which are very obviously being taught to be aggressive. We called and reported it to animal control. They told us we had to video tape it and then call back. WTF? These people are obviously mistreating these dogs. Not to mention, we have small children and this scares the hell out of us. The people in this area are so rude. They walk in the middle of the road, not moving when cars come. They swear, yell, fight and deal drugs right down the street. The parents let the kids run havoc in the neighborhood at all hours of the day and night. Too busy to be bothered because they are too busy doing drugs, using food stamps to buy cigarettes, and ruining this area. On another note, I feel like we cannot even take the beauties for walks. A few weeks ago they found a man who had hung himself along the bike trail. Can you imagine going for a walk with your children and finding something like that? The park equipment has profanities written all over it. Chloe always asks me what it says. The kids swear and fight on the playground. To put it mildly, most days I feel unsafe in my own home. The doors are never unlocked. Matt is a Police Officer, which makes the problem even more real to us. He sees the people living around us in jail all of the time. We want to move so badly. But question whether this is really a reality at this time for us. Family of six. He is already working two jobs. The economic hardship that is taking place. Not to mention...who would really choose to move into a neighborhood like this...unless they are thugs. In which they would not buy a nicer home like ours. Mostly because they are living off the state. What the hell is wrong with this world? They come to this area because the welfare is so great and they can live off it indefinitely. I am all for it for those who need it. But come on...these people are abusing the system, and getting away with it. It makes me so angry. Especially when I think of how hard my husband works to pay our bills every month. I am angry and do not know what to do about it. We need to get out of here. I need a home I feel safe in. A school close to our home that I feel comfortable sending my children to. Neighbors all around that you can trust. My children deserve better than this neighborhood.

Spoiled Sugar Mommy

Chloe went to a birthday party tonight. Her little friend Maria invited her to come to the Par-Tee zone. (one of her favorite spots.) It was from 5:30-7:30. I took her and hung out for a few minutes, then decided to go walk around the mall...alone. I have to say the quiet time was overdue or me. I enjoyed every minute. I had soup and a coffee at Panera. Then decided to treat myself to a mani/pedi. It was heaven sent. My tootsies were looking a bit shabby, and since it is coming up on sandal time...I figured...go for it. I had my favorite gal there. She always gives a super long massage, and a really good one at that! My nails look so pretty! Dutch Tulips was the color of my picking. Chloe noticed it right away. Can't sneak anything by her! She said that it was okay that I went and did that. She agreed that Mommy deserved a little pampering. Thanks for understanding Chloe. Although she did make me promise to polish hers in the morning. I happily agreed to that. She is too sweet.

Experts needed

Okay to all you "expert" bloggers out there...I need some direction...
When Chloe was born, I was very detailed in her baby book. It is something very important to me. My Mom made a baby book for me and it is STUFFED full of things. Memories, growth charts, pictures, etc. I truly cherish my book. Chloe's book is bursting at the seems, so I did well there as a Mommy. The triplets have some things filled in here and there. I save everything and have a large Rubbermaid container for each girl. Not to mention I take more photographs than just about anyone I know. So I have a lot of memories, not worried about that. However, the triplets baby book has kind of been the blog. I update frequently. Recording all the fun things they are doing, discoveries, memories, etc. But, no printed copy. Does anyone know of an easy way to print out the posts? Or what about having it made into a little book for each of the beauties. I feel like it would take forever to print, as I already have more than 200 posts on Little Beauties. Does anyone have any advice? Please say that you do...
