Flowers smell pretty

Betsy (the bride) had purchased flips-flops and had this basket of them on the dance floor
I thought it was the bet idea I have ever seen!
Stinky getting down on the floor.
I think he was doing the sprinkler.
Stinky and Chloe.

Sugar Mommy and her Chloe girl.

Always a groomsman...never a bride.

Chloe holding Betsy's bouquet. She was very excited!
Her favorite part of the wedding...was the kiss.

I have been knee deep in flowers the last two days. My back porch looked like a flower garden for a while yesterday. Loved it. I miss it sometimes. Some good friends of Stinky's (and mine) are getting married tomorrow. Stinky is in the wedding. Oh...hot man in a tux! They asked me when they were engaged if I would make the floral arrangements and wedding bouquets. Of course I said "yes!"
I have been a little nervous. I haven't done wedding flowers since the summer I was pregnant with the triplets. Not to mention have only worked a little bit in the flower shop.
I have to say...the flowers turned out gorgeous! No really...so pretty. I would have to say, next to my own wedding, this was my favorite one. The flowers and colors were beautiful. Ivory and pale blue. The flowers were roses, hydrangea and delphinium. Did I mention they were beautiful? Nineteen large vases filled with flowers for the reception tables, six bridesmaids, six groomsman, two Dads, two Moms, three Grandmothers, three Grandfathers, a toss bouquet, and most importantly the bridal bouquet and boutonniere.
I love doing weddings! They make me smile. I always think about what I might do differently with my own...but I don't think I would change anything. Our wedding flowers were Beautiful, gorgeous, perfect actually.
Makes me want to start a business...open my own boutique. Maybe someday when the Beauties get older and are all in school.
I am excited for the festivities...I will post some photos tomorrow.
Update...
The weddin was beautiful. Every part. The rain held off until the receptin began. The flowers looked gorgeous. So many compliments. Chloe stayed until the cake was eaten and then she went home. So Mommy could consume a few adult beverages. Those were yummy too. The food was delish.
Speaking of my own business...two of the gals we sat with at the reception want me to do their wedding flowers! I am so excited! One is in Cedar Falls and one here in town. Fall this year and Fall next year. So I guess I am in business.
Congratulations Will and Betsy!

Those do sound like wonderful flowers for a wedding. I haven't been able to bring any flowers in this spring because one son is having terrible allergies. I miss my spring flowers.
