The Old Capitol City Roller Girls are ready for the first home bout. The big one.Last weekend we had a fundraiser/scrimmage against our good buddies the Quad City Rollers. It was a great turnout. We held it in the gymnasium we practice in. Not much seating, but we still managed to make over a grand on admissions alone. Not too shabby. Especially when we were competing with a Iowa Football night game against Penn State. We learned a lot and are ready to put on the real deal.
The date is October 30th. Monsters Brawl. The Marriott Hotel/Convention Center is the venue. Bout to begin around eight pm. There will be fun, food, adult beverages, a costume contest and music...oh yeah and roller derby girls! All ages welcome. Come check it out.
