The countdown is on. The before school ice cream social...
Chloe met her Kindergarten teacher tonight, Ms. C. She was everything we could have hoped for in a first teacher for Chloe.
To begin, Chloe received a letter addressed to her yesterday. The letter, from Ms. C, was inviting her to the classroom before the ice cream social. A time where the children could come and see their room, meet their classmates and of course their teacher. What a wonderful idea!
When we arrived, Ms C greeted Chloe at the door, she knelt to introduce herself. Chloe smiled bright and big and returned the handshake saying "nice to meet you too." She quickly found her table with her name on it and then began exploring all the fun new things to look at and of course touch. It made me feel warm to see her talking with other children and looking so at ease with her surrounding.
After time in the classroom and chatting with Ms. C, we headed to the ice cream part of the social.
It is safe to say that Chloe is very excited for Thursday. What was her favorite part? The ice cream...of course. Oh and the playground.
Mommy and Daddy are too...kind of.
